Welcome to the WASLreport.com
The goal of this site is to make it easier to see how schools in Washington State performed on the WASL exams by showing their scores on a map.
The state of Washington has an excellent website that provides the WASL scores and detailed information on schools. Unfortunately the information provided is tabular and hard to visualize.
WASLreport.com lets you see the schools and their test results on a map. You can look by county or by district and see how schools in your area performed.
On each page you will find a map with colored icons and a listing of schools. The color of the icons are determined by taking a simple average of the test results. This is only a simple approximation so if you need more data, please visit the State's website.
Updated July 18, 2008:
My first major update. There are still problems with the school locations but overall the site is much improved.
- Added the district search feature.
- Did a major cleanup of the javascript code to simplify it (DRY) and try to support IE.
- Removed the table sorting code because it does not work. Sadly.
- The map will now automatically center and zoom based on the schools selected.
